NK Bull offers unprecedented yields

Looking for a first choice variety which offers exceptional yield without compromising quality?

Farmers looking at NIAB's 2008 Forage Maize Descriptive List will find a number of new varieties with outstanding performance. Each has the potential to drive forward the crop's overall yield potential, with average dry matter yields of the best varieties virtually breaking the 19t/ha barrier.

Heading those first choice varieties is NK Bull, which offers yield without compromising quality. NK Bull not only leads this year's Descriptive List for dry matter yield at 111% of control, but also has the highest score of any listed variety for digestibility at 11.5MJ/kg DM.

NK Bull has a very high starch content of 32.8%, and therefore the top starch yield at 6.2t/ha and an unprecedented ME yield of 216,000MJ/ha. Notwithstanding its superior yield, NK Bull has a high vigour of 8.5 together with the list's top rating for standing power.
